Cuneta Elementary School considered reading as the most important phase in education. Several strategies were introduced to uplift the reading skills of every learner.

Last November 15, 2022, CES holds the School based kick-off of 2022 Pambansang Buwan at Araw ng Pagbasa with the theme: “DepEd Pasay Nurturing Reading for Progress”.

The event started with a parade followed by a program. It started with the Christian and Muslim prayer, followed by the Philippine National Anthem and Pasay Hymn.

Heartwarming opening remarks were given by the School Principal, Mr. Mario T. Endico.

Mr. Rioven L. Capinpin, Education Program Committee of Brgy. 77, Pasay City. Another mystery reader was Ms. Aryan T. Nieves, Teacher 1 of Cuneta Elementary School.

Awarding for best in costume is the highlight of the said event. From primary level, Best in costume was garnered by a Grade 2 pupil Maria Alverta Ezabyl M. Satosa (female)  and Kian A. Ramos (male), in intermediate level Best in costume was given to Najmar Lao (male) of Grade 4 and Lujain Umbaya (female) from grade 5.

The program ended with closing remarks from the focal person, Mrs. Ruby Jane M. Satosa. This event was hosted by Mrs. Ma. Pilar R. Villaruel.
