“Our body is the only one we’ve been given, so we need to maintain it; we need to give it the best nutrition.” said Trudie Styler. In order to fortify this thought among its pupils, Cuneta Elementary School celebrates Nutrition Month annualy. CES ended its’ Nutrition month celebration through an awarding ceremony held at the school ground on July 31, 2018.  For the year 2018, the school empowered the important effect of proper nutrition. In a world where junk foods are the “go-to’ meal of almost everyone, it is imperative that young learners have it instill in them that what they matters.

Mrs. Genalin S. Ong, current school head, officially started the event by delivering her opening remarks. She congratulated the pupils and teachers for executing the planned activities for Nutrition Month successfully. Her words reminded the pupils to give importance to what they eat because it makes up their entire physique and mental help. Mrs. Emilia M. Oblianda, District-7 public schools district supervisor, aslo gave a heartfelt message to the attendees. She encouraged everyone to give their body the best it deserves by only eating healthy food. These food will serve as their energy to take more of life’s daily challenges.

Afterwards, a short intermission number was performed by Grade III and VI pupils. Grade III pupils showcased their love for nutritious food by reciting an acrostic poem while Grade IV pupils articulated a poem with a central theme on nutrition. This was followed by the introduction of GPTA Officer for the SY 2018-2019. After the introduction, Mrs. Genalin S. Ong, Mrs. Emilia M. Oblianda, Nutrition Month Focal Person Mrs. Rowena H Cabural and Co-Focal Person, Ms. Esnairah T. Diamla awarded the winners of the following contests held in the nurtrition month; cooking contest, sandwich contest, juice making contest, and slogan and poster making contest.

The event ended by a closing remarks from Nutrition Month Focal Person, Mrs. Rowena H. Cabural. She applauded CES teachers for extending their effort to make the event successful and congratulating CES pupils for demonstrating their skills in various contests.
